A DIALOGUE IN HEAVEN
“IT WAS FOR HIM”


Well, Hi! I know you!!
Well, I’m not sure you really do????
Are you sure it was me???

Yes, I am sure. Your name is Tom.
I remember you brought those presents to put under our tree!!

I have a friend, Jesus--“Do you know Him too?”
“Yes, he replied, He’s my friend too and I did it for HIM”

And then there were the elves, all dressed in red & green,
Their antlers are gone but their smiles remain!

I have a friend, Jesus--“I’m sure they know Him too.
“Yes, they replied, He’s our friend too and we did it for HIM.”

And look----there’s Chris, Bette and Roxanne.
It’s so nice to see them—
They’re as busy as bees!!
Cleaning, & cooking and calling our friendsv Forever busy until the day ends!

I have a friend, Jesus--“Do they know Him too?”
“Yes, they replied, He’s our friend too and we did it for HIM.”

I see Sonia- I remember her prayer
I was the one sitting in the chair.
She was listening to my story
And she prayed for me.

I have a friend, Jesus-- “Does she know Him too?
Yes, she replied, “He’s my friend too and I did it for HIM”

Madge, Amy, Nancy and Rob?? Have you seen them around?
They gave me food when I was down.
They knew I was hungry and rushed to the task;
I could be open and honest—no need for a mask.

I have a friend, Jesus--“I bet they know Him too?
“Yes they replied, He’s our friend too and we did it for HIM”

I saw Barbara making sandwiches, cookies and tea—
I’m sure when she did it she was thinking of me!

I have a friend, Jesus--“Does she know Him too?
“Yes, she replied He’s my friend too and I did it for HIM”

Who’s that group over there? Carol, Toni, Barbara, Lucy,
Paul, Elsie, and Don.
With their listening ears and their soft gentle hearts,
They are our choir of compassion— I’ve heard their song--

I have a friend, Jesus--“Do they know Him too?
Yes, they replied, He’s our friend too and we do it for HIM.”

There’s Lonnie and John—always wearing a smile
Whatever you need—they go the extra mile

I have a friend, Jesus—“Do they know Him too?”
Yes they replied, “He’s our friend too!”
And we did it for Him!

So many others—too many to name. The work is endless
The song never ends—

I have a friend, Jesus—Do you know Him too?
“And they all replied “We do--and “we sing it for HIM
