Simply Amazing

This may be the name for a song but it’s also the way to describe what I saw happen here at Christian HELP during our Christmas Distribution Week (2007). What I am referring to is the parade of volunteers that came day after day, many on multiple days, to help our clients select Christmas gifts for their children, sort toys, hand out batteries, pray with clients or whatever else was needed at the time. So far I have counted 65 volunteers that helped in some way that week and I am sure there are more that will come to mind. This whole event has left me humbled and grateful to all of you who stepped forward and gave of your time and energy to help others have a better Christmas.
“And do not neglect doing good and sharing; for with such sacrifices, God is pleased”
Hebrews 13:16

We love our Volunteers!!

Nina Philips along with her two sons, Matthew and Isaac, have volunteered for Christian HELP often. The last two projects Nina and her boys did were to help prepare food and take down for our Come & See Luncheons. Our last luncheon held on Monday September 17th, 2007 was awesome. Nina, Matthew and Isaac had made pinwheel sandwiches which they presented on a plate decorated with assorted vegetables. The guests absolutely loved it.
Thank you to the Philips family for being awesome volunteers!!!!

Don Dye has been a volunteer with Christian HELP for almost 5 years. He serves as an Employment Counselor giving job leads to our clients. Don was a Pastor and Executive Minister. He has found a mission field here and loves the opportunity to evangelize. Don has had a considerable number of clients accept Christ. This has been the starting point to getting back on their feet. Don feels that volunteering at Christian HELP is a privilege. He loves the spirit here.

Gwen is one of our longest term volunteers. She has given us 11 years of service. She works in the food bank sorting food. Gwen says that loves to help people in need and is blessed when she sees the smiles on their faces as they receive their food. She believes in being kind and showing love. Gwen has 6 kids, 15 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.

We would love to talk to you about how you fit in at Christian HELP. Contact Kristy by phone: 407-834-4022 ext. 228, or email: .
