Our staff of 19 here at Christian HELP depends heavily on volunteers like you to keep our office, location, services, programs and events running smoothly and effectively. We have over 300 volunteers who serve in many of the roles you see listed below, but we can always put your talents, gifts and interest to work in some way!

Administrative

Assist with office work such as making phone calls, entering data and assisting clients on the computer.  Some of this work can be done from home.

Building expansion

Christian HELP is looking to expand our facilities. If you have talents related to construction, we would love to hear from you.

CFEC Job Fairs

Help us secure job leads. Volunteer at any of our job fairs that we host every other month. Be a job fair parking lot attendant. Contact Paulette at

Christian HELP ambassador

Network out in the community by attending outreach and other networking events on behalf of Christian HELP.

Corporate Pantry Day

Is your company looking for a place to volunteer? Consider bringing five or six team members out to HELP those in need in our community by HELPing to stock (put away and organize) Christian HELP’s food pantry.

Employment counselors

Meet with clients one on one and guide them in their job searches. Offer spiritual encouragement to them. Identify and discern areas in the client’s life where they need help to become successful at searching for, acquiring and maintaining a job. Connect them with resources to guide them in this process. We will train you. This is an on-site volunteer role with set hours of service. We have current and urgent needs for several employment counselors. Contact Kristy at .

Event planning

We could use your experience with planning, organizing or facilitating any of our events as well as our monthly luncheon and tours.

Event set-up and clean-up

When we host events, we always need lots of help setting up and cleaning up.

Food pantry and food drives

Each week Christian HELP provides food for around 250 families. You could help unload, sort or distribute this food. We also need people to fold grocery bags and fill food orders for clients with whom you will have direct contact. We have a current and urgent need for a position in our food pantry. 

Fundraising

We would greatly value your fundraising ideas, expertise and any availability you may have to assist with applying these to our services, programs and events.

Housekeeping

Help us keep our offices and break area clean.

Jobs Initiative Volunteer Needs

 -Class Instructors- Teach one or more components of the 6 modules for the Jobs Initiative (JI) Classes. This requires training or teaching experience and the ability to commit to teaching at least one class a month for 2 or more hours. Class days are projected to be Tuesdays and Thursdays, but are subject to change.

 -Mock Interviewers- Work with JI Students to insure interview readiness by performing mock interviews and providing feedback to the students. Work with the students to coach them to become comfortable with the interview process and be able to articulate their experience and value to a potential company. Some interviews will take place during class 5, others times may be flexible. Must have previous interviewing experience.

 -Mentors- Work with JI graduates once they have completed the program and been hired by partner employers. The mentor will be the liaison between the employer and the graduate to continue to coach the graduate and moderate any issues. Ideally, mentors will be at the partner locations, but they can also be outside influencers.

 -Class Facilitators- One to two people per class to set up the class, put together class materials, set up snacks, and be a support to the instruction team. No experience needed. Must be able to commit to a 6-8 hour class period one or more days a week.
