Our History

Over three decades of helping families find hope through employment and community support.

IT ALL STARTED IN 1992...

A Simple Truth Sparked

A Powerful Mission

Christian HELP was founded in 1992 by David Richard “Dick” Wilson after he felt called to leave his retail gift business and create a nonprofit dedicated to serving families in need. From that vision, the Christian HELP Foundation was born.

From the beginning, Dick believed that no one should leave without hope. He created the acronym HELP — Hope, Encouragement, Love, and Prayer — as the foundation for how every person would be treated, and it continues to guide the ministry today.

What began as a simple act of obedience grew into a mission focused on restoring dignity through practical support and the love of Christ.

Dick retired from leadership in 2015 and passed away in 2019, but his vision continues to shape Christian HELP’s work today.
