New Life, new search

It’s hard enough to get a job if you have been in jail, even harder if you’ve been to prison.
But that is the uphill battle one of our clients (we’ll call Franco) was facing.
He was released from prison after serving 8 years for committing a violent crime. Finding a job was not going to be easy and he knew it. But Franco was not the same man as when he went in. During his time in prison Jesus changed his heart and life, and he was now looking for how God would provide. That’s when he came to Christian HELP.
His Career Coach journeyed with him in his search for a second chance in employment and several doors were closed. Many employers draw the line at a record with a violent offense on it, even some staffing agencies. But together we persisted because we knew nothing is impossible with God (Luke 1:37).
Along the way Franco remained positive and continued to pray that someone would believe he had changed and give him an opportunity. To be ready, his Career Coach helped him craft a resume and taught him how to share his story,
and the hunt began.
Franco began to look for work and it took a while, but all the prayers and effort paid off. He got more than a minimum wage job and he’ll qualify for a 20% raise and full benefits in just a few months.
We are so excited for this man’s future and we’re happy to be a part of his journey. He is grateful for the prayers, resources, and coaching he received before finally gaining employment!
