Christian HELP is a faith-based nonprofit dedicated to preventing homelessness by equipping individuals
and families with the resources they need to thrive. Since our founding in 1992, we have served thousands
in Central Florida through job fairs, employment coaching, grocery and wrap around services —all
offered with compassion and dignity. Our mission is simple yet powerful: to prevent homelessness, by
helping people find work, providing resources and offering spiritual encouragement.
Position Summary
Christian HELP’s is seeking its next relationally driven Development Manager to cultivate, steward and
strengthen our growing donor base, and fundraising initiatives. This seasoned professional will help
solidify recurring monthly gifts, grow target funding markets, and will help increase annual revenue. The
Development Manager supports donor acquisition, co-manages campaigns, and builds a coalition of
giving that supports Christian HELP’s long-term vision.
Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities
Development Strategy & Implementation
- Co-develop and execute a comprehensive annual development plan, including goals, objectives,
- and timelines to increase revenue and diversify funding sources.
- Donor Relations & Stewardship
- Provide active leadership in the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of
- prospective, corporate sponsors, foundations, as well as current annual, major, and planned.
- Collaborate with the communications team to create compelling content for newsletters, social media, and print collaterals to promote the organization's brand and events.
External Relations, Campaigns & Fundraising
- Lead planning and execution of our annual fundraising events.
- Manage sponsorships outreach and implementation.
- Co-Manage logistics such as timelines, vendors, registration, and volunteer support.
- Represent Christian HELP in the community and events.
Grant Writing & Management
- Research and identify grant opportunities, write compelling proposals, and manage reporting requirements to secure and maintain funding from various sources.
Data Management & Reporting
- Maintain accurate donor records in the CRM system (e.g., Donor Perfect, Bloomerang), generate
- reports, and analyze data to track fundraising performance and inform decision-making.
- Track KPI’s, donor retention, attrition, LTV
- Prepare reports for Executive Director and Board on fundraising progress
- Volunteer Leadership:
- Recruit, guide, and activate dedicated volunteer teams for company activities and special events.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management or related field, CFRE preferred.
- 5+ years’ experience in fundraising, or a combination of training, education.
- Demonstrated success raising $500k–$800k annually or supporting a comparable-sized
- development portfolio.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tell a compelling story
- and engage diverse audiences.
- Strong experience with donor management software (e.g., DonorPerfect, Bloomerang).
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while
- meeting deadlines.
- Experience planning events and coordinating volunteer committees.
- Ability to work evenings/weekends for events and community activities.
