Chloe is a 38-year-old single mom and experienced Compliance Specialist who connected with Christian HELP/CFEC in late July after receiving a recommendation from her sister, Caroline, a former client who successfully found employment through one of our job fairs.
When Chloe first came to Christian HELP, she had been out of work since May and had already applied for 75 jobs, with only a few interviews. Through one-on-one career coaching, Chloe began taking a fresh approach to her job search. She developed an ATS-friendly resume highlighting her professional accomplishments, reconnected with former classmates and coworkers, and made it a priority to attend as many job fairs as possible.
Her hard work soon began to pay off as interviews started coming in, many through connections made at job fairs. Chloe became a finalist for two positions but unfortunately was not selected for either. Although discouraged, she refused to give up. Instead, she scheduled mock interviews with her career coach to strengthen her interviewing skills and prepare to make an even stronger impression.
Her persistence paid off! After three rounds of interviews, Chloe accepted a full-time position as a Commercial Valuations Coordinator with the Orange County Property Appraiser’s Office. She also accepted a part-time, weekend position with an events company to bring in additional income for her family.
Chloe’s journey is a wonderful reminder that setbacks do not have to define the outcome. With determination, preparation, and the right support, job seekers can build confidence, strengthen their skills, and discover new opportunities.
At Christian HELP, we are honored to walk alongside job seekers as they navigate their career journeys. Every resume strengthened, interview practiced, and connection made can bring someone one step closer to a new opportunity.
We are celebrating Chloe and cheering her on as she begins this exciting new chapter!
